Water Balance Chemicals
Water Balance Chemicals includes pH & Alkalinity Increasers and Reducers and Calcium Hardness Adjusters
The degree of acidity or alkalinity of water is measured by it's pH value. A pH of 7 is neutral; a fall below 7 indicates increasing acidity and a pH rising above 7 indicates an increasing degree of alkalinity. For healthy pool water, a pH of around 7.2-7.6 should be maintained. In addition to the pH levels it is important to measure the total alkalinity of you pool water which should be between 100 - 200 ppm and the hardness of your water should be above 175mg/l (ppm) for liner pools and 250mg/l (ppm) for tiled pools with the upper limit in both cases being 1,000mg/l.
