Swimming Pool Equipment Guide
Our swimming pool equipment sizing guide has been designed in order to help you choose which equipment is most suitable for the size of pool you have. This chart relates to new pool builds or those just replacing swimming pool equipment within your current set up.
We have selected a few standard pool sizes which are all based on an average depth of 4ft 6″ (1.35m). If your pool is shallower or deeper then please adjust the volume of water in column 2 using the formula Length x Width x Average Depth x 6.25 for UK Gallons and Length x Width x Average Depth x 1.0 for Cubic Meters (m3).
If your pool is not one of the standard sizes listed you can also calculate your pool volume and then use the chart to assist you by going by the ‘Approx Volume’ instead of the ‘Pool Size’ as all equipment is generally sized on pool water volume.
The swimming pool heater sizes are based on on a desired temperature of 27 degrees C / 80 degrees F. These figures are given on the assumption that a heat retention pool cover or a solar bubble pool cover is being used on the pool. Check with your gas or electric supplier that your power / gas supply are large enough to accommodate the heater.
