Aspects Pools & Leisure are continuing to expand our portfolio of pool enclosures with our latest swimming pool enclosure installation down in Callington in Cornwall. The customers main objective was to have a telescopic structure which allowed him to swim throughout the colder months yet still allowed him the option to extract the cover on warm summers days. Although another goal was to cut down the maintenance time of cleaning the pool, a key point was not to harm the look of the garden and spectacular views of the Cornish countryside.

The structure which ticked all of these boxes and was eventually chosen was a green Elegant Low Pool Enclosure with compact unbreakable 4mm polycarbonate. As the customer wanted the option of pushing the whole enclosure off of the pool we extended the tracks by an extra couple of meters too.

Access is usually the main problem when installing one of these structures as the enclosures are pre-built in the factory and delivered in segments on an arctic lorry. Usually 2-2.5m is needed, however there are other ways of getting the enclosure through, including the occasional use of a crane. In this case we were sure access was fine, however when arriving at the site it was evident that a crane was the way forward. However as this was a cost which was first not accounted for we decided to investigate a little further on what other options were available to us. After phoning through to the factory and an extra nights stay in the lorry our installers disassembled some segments and instead of the usual 6 hour installation we managed to get the enclosure fitted within roughly 12 hours but avoided the cost and trouble of hiring a crane.

The lead time from ordering to having the enclosure fitted is approximately 6 weeks. These type of structures are becoming very popular and this customer was extremely pleased with the service he received and even more happy with being able to swim all year round.
