Opening your Swimming Pool for Spring

A pool properly maintained during the winter months can be prepared for a new season of swimming with a minimum of effort. In fact the re-opening process begins the moment the pool is closed and basically entails reversing the instructions for closing it but by keeping an eye on the pool over the winter, this process becomes that much easier.

1) The first thing is to get all that horrible, decaying and soggy mess off the pool cover. Depending on which type of swimming pool cover you have, this is best accomplished by the use of a cover submersible pump especially if you have a hard type slatted cover or a PVC safety cover where excess rain water has gathered throughout the Autumn/Winter. Alternatively if you have left your solar bubble pool cover on since the summer or you have utilized a winter debris pool cover you may want to try and sweep the leaves off to the side and gather them up by hand.

For the duration of the World Cup Aspects Pools launched a limited edition range that included exclusive swimming pool chemicals and automatic pool cleaners.

Throughout this collection we donated 5% of each sale to the Help for Heroes charity. Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq.

Deep End Pools (part of Aspects Pools & Leisure) of Bucks, Berks and Middlesex require an Swimming Pool Service engineer to be part of a very well established swimming pool installation and maintenance team based in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.

Your role in the company will be to perform regular maintenance on a number of mainly private residential swimming pools throughout the Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Middlesex counties.

You will be responsible for the safe and professional up keep and maintenance of swimming pools in many beautiful and exclusive locations. You will be keep stock levels at each location and monitor equipment and plant rooms for breakdown and faults.

The ideal candidate will have some form of service / engineering back ground, basic electrical knowledge, a water treatment back ground would be advantages, full clean driving license, and have a can do attitude.

The package for the right candidate is a van, phone and fuel.

Salary is dependent on previous experience and there is the opportunity for overtime in the summer months

Aspects Pools & Leisure are continuing to expand our portfolio of pool enclosures with our latest swimming pool enclosure installation down in Callington in Cornwall. The customers main objective was to have a telescopic structure which allowed him to swim throughout the colder months yet still allowed him the option to extract the cover on warm summers days. Although another goal was to cut down the maintenance time of cleaning the pool, a key point was not to harm the look of the garden and spectacular views of the Cornish countryside.
